Basic Positional Ideas
Please note: This course is a supplementary program for Fritz8 and
can only be run if Fritz8, Deep Fritz 8, Junior 8, Deep Junior 8, Shredder 8,
Hiarcs 9 or Tiger 15 is installed on your PC. These programs are not supplied
with this training course.
One of the basic fundamentals of chess is positional chess Material
can be won or lost and advantages gained by tactical measures, but first you have to
achieve the desired position on your board.
Let Jacob Aagaard show you in six
lectures the important principles of positional play. Gain a thorough knowledge
of the weak squares, good and bad
pieces, prophylaxis and pawn weaknesses, the concepts which belong in the
toolbox of every chess player.
The lectures are followed by 50 exercises, in
which you can always look for the solution yourself. In total, there are more
than 4 hours of high class video training on this DVD.
