Chess Assistant 9 is a unique tool for managing chess games and databases,
playing chess through the Internet, viewing electronic texts, studying openings,
analyzing games, or playing chess against the computer.

Chess Assistant 9 Starter package includes a strong game engine Shredder (ELO
rating 2750), a convenient mode of entering and analyzing games, Chess Opening
Encyclopedia 2006 , powerful search system, unique Tree mode, the database of 1,000,000 games played by masters and grandmasters that can be automatically
updated through the Internet each week with 3,000 new games (for free till the
end of 2008).
Rybka can be hooked up to Chess Assistant for the strongest analysis available. Data from DVDs, Chess Databases and Advanced Chess Data can be opened and edited. PGN and CBH formatted databases can be added or viewed.
The Chess Opening Encyclopedia 2006 mode includes rich theoretical material
on all the openings, with more than 8,000 annotations by GM Kalinin plus evaluations of 500,000 critical positions. In addition, Chess Assistant gives you the power to customize this opening material by editing this material. The new Test Opening mode tests
your knowledge of and skill in opening play.

Chess Assistant includes a convenient interface for playing at Internet Chess
Club .

Chess Databases
DVD presents the best chess databases of games in two formats - PGN and Chess
Assistant, which can be used in the popular programs Chess Assistant, Chess
Base, Fritz , Shredder, Junior, Hiarcs and etc.

The database HugeBase includes 3,002,000 games from the beginning of the
chess history right up until the 1st of April 2006.
It is one of the cleanest and most approved databases - no duplicates! The
number of games with less than 10 moves is just 0.8%. The players' library
consists of more than 200,000 chess players with unique names. More than 50,000 of these are rated by FIDE . Each game has exhaustive
information including participants, date of the game, place, tournament class and opening
index. 36,000 of these
games are annotated.
The database Corr 2006 includes 376,450 correspondence games from 1973 to
2005. The players' library contains more than 50,000 chess players with unique
names.
Besides there are following useful chess data on DVD:
