| This is a perfect opening manual. The program features a theoretical review
of all the chess openings, which are illustrated by instructive games of the
chess players in XIX and XX centuries. This compact opening manual contains a
detailed classification, which makes it useful to players of any level -
beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
Each opening variation is supplied with evaluations and characteristics of
the key moves. The history of the variations' development is perfectly
described, as well as their current status. The theoretic material is nicely
illustrated by classic games with detailed annotations that demonstrate the
principal ideas and plans of each variation for White and Black.
The material presented here was selected by the ICCF grandmaster
Kalinichenko. The program allows users to add, edit and print the chess
material, to analyze positions and to play against the built-in Crafty, Delfi
and Dragon programs, to find games and positions according to complex criteria,
to find the strongest moves in the test mode and much more.
In the program Opening Instructor unlike other programs on openings (for
example Comprehensive Chess Openings) we didn't set a task to estimate the
maximal number of moves and to show an estimation of all opening continuations.
The author of the material GM ICCF Nikolai Kalinichenko has emphasized an
explanation of plans and ideas in all openings and shown the basic theoretical
variants and directions of development for an opening.
Using a table of contents of the opening variants the user can receive the
preliminary information on the considered opening and to choose a theme for
studying.
Having passed to the chosen opening it is possible to look the description of
ideas and the basic theoretical data on the variant. If you wish it is possible
to enter new variants or texts, and also to analyse positions by means of the
built-in game engines Delfi and Crafty.
To understand an opening variant better you can play the current position
against the built-in game engines. The program selects the strongest
continuations and shows in what place you have made a mistake.
Test yourself and find the strongest moves in the chosen variant. In the case
of a mistake the program will give you tips helping to find the true solution.
The commercial version includes a CD, a printed documentation and a box.
