Its
that time of year and school is in session. You don't need pens or #2
pencils, but you will need to focus. The problems in this book are
designed to train the youthful (or at least chessically youthful) chess
player to think. Stress is on development of the ability to focus, to
diagnose or analyse and to build logical solutions. The problems in
this book, although basic, are the building blocks of future success
both on the chessboard and abstractly, in approaching life situations.
The material extends that of Chess School 1a through two additional stages of progressive compexity: Stage 4:
- Win a queen
- Win a rook
- Win a bishop
- Win a knight
- Draw
- How to proceed?
Stage 5:
How to proceed?
