Before you can win a chess game (preferably by delivering mate!) you first have to threaten something. And "threats" are the subject of George Renko's

positions - an enormous amount of material! You'll find
no lengthy introductions or mindless "filler" verbiage; instead you get to
immediately start solving tactical challenges that every player needs to
understand.
There is no better way to improve your tactical vision. Tasks are sorted by themes, but can also be loaded using the ChessBase "random selection" feature. Work your way through checkmates, forks, pins,
x-ray attacks, deflections,etc.. then start putting it all together!
