The Royal Crown
Ebony and Boxwood Chess Pieces

The Royal Crown  is a triple weighed, 4 Queen chess set in the Staunton traditional style. You will find unsurpassed quality and craftsmanship in this beautifully designed set. The dark chess pieces are made of Ebony and the light chess pieces are made of Boxwood. It would be difficult to find a more splendid wood than Ebony for the black pieces in chess sets. The texture of the wood is fine and even making it a true pleasure to hold in your hand. The deep luster and total blackness of the wooden blocks make for exceptional, true black chess pieces, and therefore Ebony is the most traditional wood used in chess pieces of the finest quality.

This ChessCentral Royal Crown chess set is triple weighted. The King stands 4.5 inches high with a base of 1.75 inches. This chess set will fit perfectly on a chess board with a 2 inch square.
