StarBase and StarBooks A-E

StarBook 4.56 is a series of 5 CDs, each devoted to one "code" or section of the Encyclopedia of Chess Openings, which go from A to E. These are Tree databases (.ctg) to be used as openings books for Fritz, or simply opened and explored with Chessbase 7.0 & higher.

StarBook 4.56 is an openings book and database that will run with Fritz or any Fritz compatible engine (Shredder, Junior, Tiger, Nimzo, etc.) as its openings "StarBook". You can also use it in ChessBase 7, 8 or 9 to conduct openings training and hone your repertoire.

Each CD-Rom was compiled of games from that ECO code found on StarBase 4.56. Here is a brief outline of the openings contained in each volume of StarBook 4.56:

StarBook 4.56 - ECO B
Covers Irregular answers to 1.e4 (1...b6, 1...Nc6, etc.), The Scandinavian Defense, Alekhine's Defense, The Pirc/Modern Systems, The Caro-Kann Defense, and the Sicilian Defense (all variations, and about 80% of this volume).

Covers The Catalan System, The Blumenfeld Gambit, The Bogo-Indian Defense, The Queen's Indian Defense, The Nimzo-Indian Defense, and the King's Indian Defense - again, all variations of these massive openings.
