1.e4 Na6 2.Bc4 c5
Making room for the knight to retreat to c7

3.Qf3
Threatening 4.Qxf7 mate

3...Nh6?
A knight on the rim is dim. This prevents 4.Qxf7, but the knight is stuck at the edge of the board. Better is 3...e6

4.d4
Controlling the center and freeing the queen bishop

4...exd4??
The pawn should not be taken, Black should try 4...Nb4, threatening 5...Nxc2 and forking king and rook

5.Bxh6

Losing the knight since 5...gxh6 leads to mate after 6.Qxf7 mate. Or 2.d4

2...Nd7
Slightly cramping. More accurate is 2...Nf6

3.Nf3
White is getting his pieces out early

3...g6?
Black should follow up on his knight move and play 3...Nb6, attacking the bishop

4.Ng5
Threatening 5.Bxf7 mate, but better is 4.Bxf7+! Kxf7 5.Ng5+ which leads to mate or winning the queen

4...Nh6??

Trying to protect the f7 square. Black had to play 4...e6 to prevent the mate threat and loss of the queen

5.Bxf7+ Nxf7 6.Ne6
Trapping smothering the queen
