A unique set of six chess courses. Five courses on the middlegame are put together (Encyclopedia of Middlegame, volumes I-V), covering the theory and practice of the middlegame for each of the openings. The sixth course, Chess Strategy, explores 18 strategic motifs (Weak squares, Pawn structure etc.) and typical structures (Isolated pawn, Hanging pawns etc.).

Volume I

Encyclopedia of Middlegame II was written by GM Alexander Kalinin. This CD contains typical plans and methods in the most popular openings.

The following openings are reviewed: Sicilian defense (Dragon, Najdorf, Paulsen variations), Ruy Lopez (Open variation, Exchange Variation), King's gambit, Italian game, Evans gambit, Pirc-Ufimtsev, Alekhine's defense, Nimzo-Indian defense, Queen's-Indian defense, Queen's gambit, Modern Benoni.

This program is not another Middlegame I version but a completely new program supplied with wholly different material.
