  1. The best of its kind-ever

The unit itself is beautifully made, as one would expect for the cost. It is smooth and easy to use. Playing a game, move take back, position set up are all very easy and natural. I agree with the other reviewer that the manual is unreasonably limited. It refers one to the website of the various chess engines it uses. Then, when one goes to those websites, there is no reference to this computer at all! So, no help there. It seems like the manual (again, for the cost of the product) should include a full description of each engine and their features. Even a down load of a PDF would be fine. Fortunately, after some trial and error, the general functions are easy enough to figure out. The menu system is cumbersome, but workable. The unit itself is otherwise amazing and finely finished. I do have to disagree with the other reviewer regarding the ebony pieces. I have one of the old DGT e-boards with the "Timeless" pieces. The ebony set is well worth the difference in cost. They are very well made, with a nice balance of size between the pieces. It would certainly cost nearly their price to buy regular comparable pieces.

The manual could better explain functions, would be nice if led screen were larger to contain more analysis variations, Ebony pieces not worth the extra cost. otherwise good product thus far.
