Medallion - Elm Chess Board with Metal Trim

Made in Italy, the Medallion board is constructed of Briarwood and strong tempered Maple. The board itself is framed in Elm and is rimmed with tastefully understated gold-colored metal trim (complete with this board's distinct namesake medallions near the corners). The squares each have a generous 2" to accommodate a wide variety of chess pieces, making this a versatile board perfect for most sets. The elmwood frame around the playing area is slightly raised, giving the Medallion board a classical framed look and feel.
