Pocket Fritz has been the ultimate Pocket PC chess companion, ready to play anywhere and anytime, ever since its introduction in 2001. Now Pocket Fritz has become even better with the introduction of Pocket Fritz 4. The chess engine, written by Mark Uniacke of HIARCS fame, is stronger than any of its predecessors - in the 2009 Buenos Aires Copa Mercosur Tournament, PocketFritz 4 achieved a stunning performance rating of 2938 Elo.
Pocket Fritz 4 has been reprogrammed to support the standard ChessBase .cbh database format and the .ctg opening book format (so your existing ChessBase databases and opening trees will be usable by Pocket Fritz). The software also allows access to ChessBase's online database of more than four million games. New automatic analysis features have been added. The package also includes a specialized opening book, 300 annotated games, chess training videos, plus full search and annotation functions.
Pocket Fritz 4 is an absolute necessity for serious chess players on the go, not only for its playing features but also for its newly beefed-up database, annotation, and analysis functions as well!
